Civil Engineering in Mumbai University

by admin on May 18, 2012

Civil Engineering is one of the main branches of Engineering in Mumbai University. Civil Engineering is the discipline which teaches you to design, build and maintain human constructed infrastructure like roads, bridges , buildings or even  naturally occurring structures in our environment.

The four year program offered by colleges in Mumbai University covers (please see the syllabus section in the community) the basic engineering material needed for a good Civil Engineer in the Industry. Like any course, it will not make you the most skilled engineer and there will be a need for internships, on the job training and may be even higher education to become a successful Civil Engineer.

Civil Engineering will play an important role in the future development of India. India is a developing country and will need many more Civil Engineers in the future and the jobs available under Civil Engineering Jobs board is expected to increase as more construction projects are undertaken by the government and the private sector.

Civil Engineers also have a lot of demand internationally. You can pursue higher education in a developed country and work on projects in a wide range of sub-fields from Contsruction Management to Oil fields, form building Sky Scrapers to mining coal.

We are working on a list of colleges that offer Civil Engineering in Mumbai University. Please sign up in our community and contribute to this effort.
